À la carte Restaurant - opening times and closing day

In our restaurant, we offer hot meals from the kitchen throughout the day. We enjoy our regular closing day on Thursdays.

We have ideal dining spaces for bus and group travelers, as well as for family celebrations, weddings and seminars!

Cuisine with an eye to the classics

A traditional "Stoan-Essn"

We treat our guests to delicious classics of the Austrian cooking tradition, with a special place in our hearts for those ever-popular Styrian and regional favorites. Awards including the AMA Gastro Seal and "GenussWirt" attest to our outstanding quality!

We love to give free rein to our imagination, too, constantly offering new dishes with a contemporary flavor.
The use of local agricultural products (potatoes, trout,...) guarantees the absolute freshness and high quality of our dishes.

Superb companion wines

To accompany your meal, we recommend our select Austrian wines or a refreshing beer.  Unblended schnapps (apricot, plum, pear and rowanberry) as well as fortified schnapps and liqueurs are all produced in-house.

Our "Ziam" pine schnapps is subject to quality controls and officially rated every year at the Knödelalm.

Specialties of the House

Stoa'n Essen

We have offered a "Stoa'n Essen" at our restaurant for over 30 years, and it is perhaps more popular now than ever. During the meal, you will be able to prepare your own dish - with meat, fish, vegetables, eggs, fruit - right there at the table on hot lava rock, then enjoy it accompanied by delicious sauces and side dishes.

Especially within a pleasant circle (e.g. family celebration or bus group), this type of dining is very popular. A "Stoa'n Essen" is possible for 2 or more guests; advance orders are requested.

In November, we offer our traditional Martinmas Goose, a goose raised on our own farm.

Half-Board in the Restaurant

As a guest of the house, we offer you a selection of 3 meal menus, which you can enjoy either at lunchtime or for dinner in our restaurant area. Please let us know when you make your room booking, whether or not you would also like to add half-board.

Half-board is not available on our weekly closing day or on Sundays or public holidays. On these days, we are happy to reserve a table for you at one of our nearby restaurants.
